How it works.
The Copy Clinic is a no-hassle pay-up-front service. Simply submit your copy following the steps below, and I’ll rework and return it with detailed edits and relevant tips and advice that you can add to your own writing toolkit.

Whatever you have. Maybe that’s a website landing page, maybe it’s a press ad, video script or email. As long as it’s 300 words or less, you’re fine.

Who am I?
My name is Nigel Thomas. I’m an advertising and marketing copywriter, and I have been for around 25 years.
During that time I’ve worked in agencies as a writer, freelancer and creative director, and I’ve also been a partner in my own creative agency. I’ve written all kinds of marketing and campaign materials for an enormous range of businesses, from single-person startups to huge international brands.
I’m a fan of simple, compelling and characterful copy. I believe most business copy is too boring or complex. I created The Copy Clinic to help founders and business owners write effective copy that cuts through the noise and clearly delivers their messages and their brand.

Terms of use
Scope
When using the Copy Clinic, you’re not engaging me to write or rewrite your copy. Instead, my role is to review what you’ve written and offer my edits and advice to create a new improved version of your original. I’ll always do this to the best of my ability. But just like in life, there are no guarantees. I can’t promise you’ll like all of my comments or suggestions, and I don’t guarantee that the improved version will definitely result in the number of sales or conversions you’re looking for.
Revisions and refunds
Your satisfaction is important to me and of course I want you to like what you get back. However copy revisions and amends are not part of the Copy Clinic service. So if you’d like me to relook at anything I’ve supplied, there may be an additional fee. Also, because copywriting is so subjective, and I’ll have already spent time on your job, I’m afraid I have a no-refunds policy. I am human though. If you’re not completely happy with copy I’ve provided, hopefully we’ll be able to work it out over email.
Online purchases
The Copy Clinic is a ‘pay in advance’ service. If you’re paying via PayPal, debit card, or credit card, you give me permission to automatically charge your card for payment before I start work. Any requests submitted to the Clinic without payment won’t receive any love and attention until payment is received.
Your information
I won’t pass on any of your personal information to third parties, and I won’t mention to anyone that I’m even working with you. Like you, I also hate unsolicited email. So once our business is completed, the only contact you’ll get from me is the occasional message – unless of course you’d like us to keep in touch.
Marketing
I may, at some point in the future, use work submitted to the Copy Clinic for promotional purposes. If I do, any details that identify your brand or business will be removed or changed. If you’re not comfortable with that, just let me know.
